Celebrating the acceptance-OXYMO’S MABR

Recently, the MABR process wastewater treatment project of OXYMO TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD in the Philippines has successfully completed the completion and acceptance inspection and has been officially put into operation. The designed treatment capacity of this project is 1,200 tons per day. The influent is septic tank wastewater. After treatment, the effluent quality is stable and meets the Class IV standard of the “Surface Water Environmental Quality Standards” (GB 3838-2002), marking another significant breakthrough of this technology in the field of efficient and low-carbon treatment of difficult organic wastewater.

Acceptance test report for effluent:

This project adopts the core process technology of membrane aeration biofilm reactor (MABR) independently developed by OXYMO . The MABR technology, as an innovative wastewater biological treatment technology, combines the dual advantages of gas separation membranes and biofilm methods. Through bubble-free aeration with hollow fiber membranes, it provides efficient oxygen sources for the attached-growing microorganisms, significantly improving the oxygen transfer efficiency and utilization rate. At the same time, it achieves simultaneous nitrification and denitrification, effectively removing organic matter and nitrogen and phosphorus pollutants.

Given the high organic content and complex biodegradability of the wastewater from septic tanks, the MABR system has demonstrated outstanding treatment efficiency and operational stability. Since the trial operation of the project, the system has run smoothly, with strong resistance to shock loads. The main effluent indicators such as COD, ammonia nitrogen, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus all exceed the design values, successfully meeting the surface water Class IV standards. It can be directly used for landscape water use, recharging rivers, or utilized as a recycled water resource for comprehensive utilization, demonstrating significant environmental benefits and resource recycling value.

During the acceptance process, an acceptance team composed of the owner’s unit, environmental protection department and industry experts conducted a comprehensive and detailed on-site inspection and data review of the project. After rigorous assessment, the acceptance team unanimously determined that the project’s process was advanced, the equipment installation was standardized, the automatic control system was intelligent and efficient, and the effluent quality fully met and even exceeded the strict standards stipulated in the agreement. Therefore, they agreed that the project had passed the completion acceptance.

The successful acceptance of this project is another powerful validation of the OXYMO TECHNOLOGY MABR technology in practical application. We are very pleased to contribute to solving regional water environment governance problems and promoting the sustainable utilization of water resources with our innovative technology and reliable solutions. In the future, the company will continue to focus on the research and promotion of advanced membrane technology, providing customers with more efficient, energy-saving and environmentally friendly overall water treatment solutions.

The success of this project not only provides a replicable and scalable excellent engineering solution for high-standard decentralized sewage treatment and resource recovery in tropical regions and similar areas, but also offers a new technical path choice for improving the quality and efficiency of sewage treatment in China and for achieving the “dual carbon” goals.
